Challenge:
Illustrate the concept of “automation puts you in control” for a print ad campaign

Answer:
The CGI group worked in concert with the creative team to concept a series of ads that featured a home store employee controlling a monster made of paint supplies. To make this come to life, they photographed a model named Sal, and used a primitive representational version of him in the 3D scene for robot alignment and reflective purposes. It was a quick trick that worked out really well. The 3D Sal was dubbed “Poseable Sal,” and he saved the group countless hours in Photoshop manipulation.
