Challenge:
GE Aviation was introducing the GEnx turbofan engine – a revolutionary offering that would transform the industry – and they challenged the Power team to develop a campaign that would not only raise awareness, but also create significant buzz around the momentous launch.

 

Answer:
Power developed and executed a full advertising and marketing campaign, which included elements of digital, print, installation and artwork. Because of the long cycle of an engine product, this multi-year campaign was designed to keep the engine top-of-mind as best in class. A new microsite showed the progression of technology that ultimately culminated in the engine, highlighting facts and figures along the way. Unique collateral and out-of-home materials, like a “fan blade” brochure and a large-scale window installation at Seattle‘s Sea-Tac International Airport, helped position the engine. Power also commissioned hand-blown glass sculptures for GE to give to airline customers as gifts.
