Leslie Holland, Director of Public Relations

How long have you been with Power?

Since early 2007.

Describe Power Creative in five words or less.

Is it already five o’clock?

What is the most fulfilling part of your career?

I love being able to move beyond a client-vendor relationship to a place of trust. That sounds cliché but that’s truly when I’m able to do my best work.

Name your top three favorite Louisville destinations.

The clockers’ stand on the backside at Churchill Downs, the bleachers at St. Matthews Little League ballpark, the Bardstown Road Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in advertising?

Understand and explore your core competencies before you get pigeonholed in one discipline. And learn as much as you can about how businesses operate.

At 6 years old, what did you want to do when you grew up?

Be the oldest one in my family. I’m the fourth of five children, so that was a pretty insurmountable goal, but it taught me to reach as high as I could.

What is your favorite ad campaign of all time?

“Built Ford Tough.” The beauty is that campaign has proven Ford knows its audience and it goes to the next level by enhancing the company’s image with other products and brands—all while facing an incredibly difficult business climate. As we say in the world of PR, “It has the added advantage of being the truth.”

If you could write a tagline for yourself, what would it be?

Let me tell you all about my client.
