What an exciting evening for Power Creative!
Our agency was abuzz with excitement tonight as we embarked upon the 39th annual 2013 Louie Awards Gala, held inside Louisville’s prestigious Seelbach Hilton.
While we came to have a little fun and celebrate a year of hard work, we had no idea how great the payoff would be: Altogether, we brought home 39 Louie awards, including 13 Golds and 26 Silvers—more honors than received by any other local agency.
The icing on the cake? The Best of Show award for our fully interactive Xbox Kinect “Climb Time” game experience, created to make a huge impression with attendees of a high-profile corporate event.
In addition to the traditional accolades, we brought home another award that has become very special to our agency. Known as “the one that got away award,” this “local-only” accolade honors work presented to a client for use but never fully executed. It’s the third year this category has been available for entry—and our third year bringing home the award!
“It’s a huge and also very humbling honor to be recognized among all the great talent and work from competing local agencies,” said David Power, President and CEO of Power Creative. “I’m very proud of our hardworking creative teams and all the employees at Power Creative who collaborate every day to bring our best work to our clients.”
The honors included work spanning a variety of categories and media, from a single-page printed piece and 164-page catalog to microsites, digital tablet apps, photography, animation and video work. What’s more, the work honored represents an accurate cross section of our diverse client portfolio, which includes an array business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients in the technology, aviation, energy, arts & entertainment, commercial equipment, home appliance, food, retail and non-profit sectors.
The Louie awards, aka “the Louies,” celebrate the finest work created by the advertising industry in Louisville. The Louie competition represents the ultimate recognition of hard work—and validation of creativity—for the past year. Winning a Louie award is the first step in the three-tiered national ADDY® creative competition, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, culminating at the AAF national conference.
