Software evolves. Useless, outdated features fade away and newer features make the application stronger, even if it takes some time to work out the kinks. Applications are more powerful than the year before because our industry is in perpetual change to keep up with higher client expectations - the applications we use have to keep up. Read more

Unfortunately, you don’t have any choice in the matter. Facebook will automatically be moving all pages over to the timeline format. You should go ahead and be prepared with a cover photo at the very least so your page doesn’t look inactive or out of date.
One week ago today numerous EF-4 tornados rolled thru North Pekin, Marysville and Henryville in southern Indiana and West Liberty in eastern Kentucky packing reportedly 175 mph winds causing death and total devastation. Early Saturday morning I traveled just 19 miles north of Louisville to Henryville, Indiana, and the scenes that I witnessed there were mind-numbing. A school bus that truly minutes before the twister hit had been loaded with young school children was thrown inside a local diner. Read more
Google’s first attempt with social media was Google+, landing over 10 million users less than a month and over 90 million users as of now. According to Slate, Google+ couldn’t compete with the 500+ million users on Facebook.
Google is now taking its next steps in social media with Leaderboard. Leaderboard is a new feature allowing users to earn points for checking in to locations via Google Latitude.
